Pursuing a long-time dream to live in the Rocky Mountains, Melissa Hungerford Harrison moved to Jackson Hole from her hometown of Richmond, Virginia 16 years ago.  Melissa has worked in the “land business” in many different ways. As a real estate appraiser in Virginia, she appraised everything from tobacco and Loblolly Pine tree farms to single family suburban homes. Upon moving to Jackson, she worked as a Sales Associate for Jackson Hole Realty for many years. Raising two sons, Melissa transitioned to a more predictable schedule provided by a non-profit and worked at the Jackson Hole Land Trust.  In her six years at the Land Trust, Melissa worked in several capacities including the Conservation Buyer Program. Melissa continued in natural resource conservation as the Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation for several years.  Now that her two sons are preparing to head off to college, Melissa is excited to return to real estate sales.

She graduated from St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia; earned an Associates Arts Degree in European Studies from Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland; and, earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from American University in Washington DC.  Melissa also took several graduate degree courses in commercial real estate from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

In addition to her home, garden, and family, the mountains surrounding Jackson Hole are Melissa’s passion and she spends free time exploring them on foot, horseback and skis.
